Obituary for Violet Brown (née Repetto)
By Ian BrownViolet Rene Brown (née Repetto) passed away aged 79 on Thursday 18th April 2019 at her home in Blackfield, Hampshire, UK. Violet was born on 14th December 1939 on Tristan da Cunha. She was the second youngest child of Arthur and Edith Repetto (née Swain) and had six brothers and sisters. She married Michael Brown on 7th September 1963 and had three children Ian, Susan and Joy. Violet and Michael revisited Tristan many times and was known as "Aunty Vi" by those youngsters that knew her. She would be happy to host any Tristanian that arrived in the UK with open arms. A kind and generous person who was loved, and will be missed by everyone. An order of service was held on Tristan at the same that time her funeral was held in the UK. Violet leaves behind her husband Michael, three children Ian, Susan and Joy, six Grandchildren and six great grandchildren. |
