The SV Nyamezela called at Tristan during her return from the Cape 2 Rio 2023 yacht race.

Yacht SV Nyamezela visits on the 23rd February 2023

Report and photos from Kelly Green

Yacht SV Nyamezela arrived at the settlement at 2:00am on Thursday the 23rd February 2023, and she anchored offshore. Colin Hagan, Eugene Repetto and Bob Urquhart brought the three crew members ashore at 10:00am.

The crew enjoyed our first class Lobster Sandwiches and cold beers at Café da Cunha whilst doing a bit of retail therapy. After that they went on a self-guided tour to take in the beautiful sights that the island has to offer.

Like the Ray of Light the day before, they were also part of the Cape 2 Rio 2023 race, and were on their way back to Cape Town. They planned to stay anchored overnight and set off in the early hours of the morning.

Another great bunch and we wish them well on their journey...
