Passengers were:

Islanders: Holly & Glenda Rogers, Sandra Rogers, Elizabeth Rogers, Terence Green, Brian & Peggy Rogers, Clifton Repetto, Maria & Kailey Swain.

Non-islanders: Erik Mackenzie (Ovenstone's Factory Manager), and Sally Wonner (Doctor's wife).

Departure from Cape Town

MFV Edinburgh departed Cape Town at 2:10pm on Wednesday 24th June 2026 for a passenger and cargo voyage to Tristan da Cunha.

The Edinburgh is replacing the Lance on this journey. The main reason being that she is less heavy on the fuel consumption, and with current inflated prices is cheaper to run than the Lance. She will therefore do a return trip to Cape Town in July before coming back out again in August. The fishing season at Tristan begins on the 1st July, but for the outer islands, where the Edinburgh is needed, the start date is later.
