MFV Lance's January-February 2024 Voyage
Report from Cynthia GreenDeparture from TristanPassengers went on board the MFV Lance about 3.30pm on Saturday 24th February 2024 and she sailed for Cape Town at 4.10pm. Passengers are: Islanders: Neil Swain, Patricia Repetto, Dean Repetto, Anita Repetto, and Leon Glass. Non-islanders: Carmen Ferreira, Brandon Cloete, Jedd Cossey (Inaccessible Flax Team), Dr. Silvio Perez, Bernd Schmitz (Satellite Internet Engineer), Erik Mackenzie & Dinand Joubert (Ovenstone Representatives). |

The MFV Lance arrived at 08:00 in the morning of Wednesday 7th February 2024. Passengers came ashore shortly afterwards. As it was lovely weather, offloading commenced immediately. It also being a fishing day, and with some people were still drying out their homes after the weekend's floods, it was very busy on the island! Passengers were: Islanders: Danny Swain, Lynette, Leah-Faye & Oscar Green, Ronald Rogers and Justin Green; Non-islanders: Peter Ryan & Coleen Maloney (Scientific Researchers), Marius Van Veggelen (Nurse's husband), Emil Pirzenthal (Conservationist), Michael Bertram (Chief Operating Officer), and Bernd Schmitz (Satellite Internet Engineer).
