The Agulhas II was able to offload all her Tristan cargo on the 22nd September 2023, and help move materials around the island.

The SA Agulhas II arrived just before 6:00pm Thursday the 21st September 2023. Luckily there was just enough day light hours to complete the six passenger flights; among the passengers were the new Administrator Philip Kendall and his wife Louise.

Friday 22nd September was a glorious day, tand he raft crew, on island team and ships teams worked tirelessly until dark to get her fully unloaded in one day! Not only was there lots of cargo but eight vehicles were brought ashore.

In between all the busy offloading the helicopter team lifted materials over to stoney Beach, where they also took a member of the Foreign Telecommunications Network (FTN) department to check the repeaters. Additionally, they flew materials, including fencing gear onto the mountain Base, so that people can tend to their sheep pens.
