Maiden Voyage of MFV Lance to Tristan

Departure from Tristan
The following passengers boarded the MFV Lance on Tuesday 15th February 2022 at 5:40pm: Islanders: David & Doreen Swain, Eric & Martha Glass, and Gerry Repetto; Non-islanders: Christine Van Veggelen, Dr. Carel Van der Merwe, and Siobhan Vye. The Lance then sailed for Cape Town at 6:50pm.

Arrival at Tristan
The MFV Lance arrived at Tristan in the morning of Thursday 10th February 2022. However, sea conditions prevented passengers from disembarking until about 9:00am on Saturday 12th February, after which off-loading commenced.
The passengers were: Returning islanders: Patrick & Denise Rogers; Non-islanders: Donna & Dominic Blyth (New Head Teacher & Husband), Kate Sherry (Occupational Therapist), Gillian Key (OT Project Manager, Animal & Plant Health Agency), and Johannes Erasmus (Contractor).
Departure from Cape Town
The newly acquired MFV Lance departed Cape Town on her maiden voyage to Tristan da Cunha on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 at about 2:30pm, a week later than scheduled.
