Mothering Sunday and Harvest Festival on Sunday 6th March 2016 |
|
Report from Dawn Repetto | |
Mothers Day and Harvest Festival was held on 6th March at St Mary's and
Joseph's Church. It was a beautiful calm day with not a breath of wind.
Although the harvest had not been one of the best the community was
still extremely grateful and the Church was well attended and decorated
with people and food. The community spent the day visiting family and
many spent the day at the Potato Patches. With seas so calm there was
a lot of wildlife spotted at Runaway Beach and Flat Rocks. The community
would like to say a special thank you to David and Ferne Clarke who
donated 5 boxes of foodstuff to our Harvest Festival.
Editor's Note: We will publish Dawn's photos of the wildlife on a separate page soon. |
