Part three of the series commemorates the resettlement of Tristan da Cunha in 1963 following the evacuation of the whole population to England after the volcanic eruption of 1961. A Resettlement Survey was conducted in 1962, when 6 islanders returned to the island to assess conditions. In April 1963 the first group of 51 islanders returned to the island on board MV Boissevain The final party of islanders returned safely to their homes the same year on 10th November on board MV Bornholm.
