Visit of the SV Ray of Light, 22nd February 2023

The SV Ray of Light called at Tristan during her return from the Cape 2 Rio 2023 yacht race, arriving during the evening of Tuesday 21st February 2023. Mark and Nathan Swain, along with policeman Bob Urquhart collected the crew of six the next day and brought them ashore.

The crew had a great day. I took them to the Thatched House Museum, St Mary's Church, led a tour of the school, the cemeteries, and the local shop. They also had some delicious lobster sandwiches in Café da Cunha while writing their Post Cards.
They were such a lovely group and we hope to welcome them all back to TdC one day. Safe sailing onwards to Cape Town.
