School Christmas Show 2019
Report and photos by Peter Millington
St Mary's School presented their Christmas Show to family and friends on Wednesday 11th December 2019. Because the school hall is still out of action following the July storm, the students performed the show instead in Prince Philip Hall, and had to adapt to its smaller stage and no curtain, which they did admirably. The show featured three performances, introduced by Julie and Chantelle, followed by thanks from Head Mistress Julia Hagan and Adminstrator Sean Burns. There was also a presentation and special thanks to Hilary Rogers for her work with the Creche. All stood at the end to sing the National Anthem, "God Save the Queen".

The Nativity Play, performed by Playgroup and Classes 1-3, with the Christmas story appearing to a family on stage as the parents read it to their children. |
|
Children from Classes 1-5 staged a fashion show where all the clothes were made from recycled materials such as crisp packets, bags and packaging. Some of the designs were very stylish. Others were made a raise a laugh, which they did, but you never know, they might catch on! |
|
Playgroup and classes 1-2 performed the last act, singing "Baby Shark" with actions. |
