Impressive Turnout

Administrator Philip Kendall also announced on 6th March that there were 200 eligible voters of whom 166 voted, making the turnout an impressive 83%.

18-year-old Shannon Swain votes in an election for the first time Council Clerk Geraldine Repetto making a home visit to record the vote of Audrey Green.

The high turnout was enhanced by enabling resident islanders presently overseas to vote by email, the fact that many young people voted, and by the service that Council Clerk Geraldine Repetto provided to visit homes of those who were unable to vote at the Polling Station for themselves.
