Tristan Association meeting ahead of flight to Cape Town

Joint Administrators travel to Tristan

Steve Townsend and Fiona Kilpatrick on their way to begin their work

Newly appointed Joint Tristan da Cunha Administrators Steve Townsend and Fiona Kilpatrick met with Tristan Association Co-Chair John Cooper in London on Thursday 9th January prior to flying to Cape Town on Saturday 11th.

The married couple, who will replace Tristan's longest-serving Administrator Sean Burns later in January, are spending a few days in Cape Town before boarding the Ovenstone fishing vessel MFV Edinburgh which is due to depart for Tristan da Cunha on Thursday 16th January.

en route to Tristan da Cunha where they will become the island's first joint administrators
and Fiona will become the first female holder of the post.
