In commemorating the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Marines, this set of stamps illustrates notable events in the history of the Corps. Their connection with Tristan stretches back to the occupation of the Island by a garrison of Marines after the formal proclamation of annexation on 14 August 1816.

This set of four stamps marks the 190th Anniversary of the artist Augustus Earle's enforced stay on Tristan da Cunha. They depict paintings that he made during the voyage and just after arrival at Tristan.

This set of stamps is devoted to Tristan's endemic finches, traditionally called buntings because of their resemblance to the buntings familiar to European naturalists. They are however related to South American finch-tanagers.
