UK - based Saints (St Helena Islanders) help for Tristan da Cunha
£1000 presented to Chief Islander
Nola Swain presented Chief Islander Conrad Glass with a cheque for £1000 (topped up by her family from the £621 raised by the fund raising dance catalogued below) recently. We expect to publish pictures and a fuller report soon.

Music was provided by
Johnny Carter and
Barry Brooks and the Wagon Train
and by Rikki Ryan as Elvis

The dance was organised
to raise money for the
Tristan da Cunha
Svensson-Enstrom Fund
for the benefit of
Tristan's OAPs
who may suffer hardship
following the fire which totally
destroyed the island's fish processing
factory on 13th February 2008

The St Helena Trust donated
the hire of the hall
and all the musicians played free.
A raffle was held, with prizes kindly
donated by people who attended
the dance.

A total of £621 was raised
which will be transferred
to the Svensson-Enstrom Fund

in time of need,

is very grateful for help from
its own Saints for this impressive effort.
