Almost £400 raised for Adam Savory Memorial Fund to combat Altitude Sickness

Charity event organised by Kelly Green in memory of friend Adam

Report and photos from Kelly Green

On Saturday 5th May, joined by friends Sasha, Emma and Kirsty, I organised a fund-raising event in the café in aid of the Adam Savory Memorial Fund known as 'Para Monte' which exists to combat altitude sickness from which Adam died in 2012.

The day went great and there was such a good turn out! The weather also was on our side as well. We sold over 100 fish and chip portions, 79 burgers, 48 pizzas, 30 doughnuts, and a coffee cake Slush puppy also sold really well. We raised £390.40, which we are very proud off. All the money will be donated to the charity Para-Monte in memory of my friend Adam. I would like to say a big thank you from me and Adams family to everyone that donated things so we were able to make this happen, and of course to everyone who came along or just donated. Adam's mum was really touched when hearing about the generosity from the TDC community.
