Tristan closed down on the 20th December 2017 for the three week Christmas break with the usual partying.

Breakup Day on the 20th December 2017 was quite a quiet affair this year but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Unfortunately the rain arrived by early afternoon so there wasn't the usual visiting. As far as I'm aware no one was thrown in the tank at the factory; they all seemed to have behaved themselves. Because of the rain everyone seemed to gather at the Centre which was the largest covered area. I therefore didn't get the opportunity to visit and get many photos. Despite the rain, it didn't deter barbecues in the evening, and throughout the village they could be smelt.

Work resumes on Monday 15th January 2018.
