On April 27th and 28th 2017, Tristan was part of a forum that brought together environment ministers and their representatives from across the overseas territories and from Britain's crown dependencies.

The meeting in the Channel island of Alderney tackled topics ranging from the environmental consequences of Brexit to ways of paying for green initiatives.

Tristan's UK Representative Chris Carnegy told delegates about recent flood damage to the island, and outlined the potential effects of Brexit, which include challenges for access to funds for green infrastructure.

Supported by the UK Overseas Territories Conservation Forum, the meeting considered ways the UK's island family can collaborate for the future benefit of the environment.
