Sean Burns takes charge as Tristan Administrator for a Second Term

Administrator and President of the Island Council, Sean Burns, is at the head of the table,
and on his left is Commercial Officer Ann Biddle, who served as Acting Administrator
after the departure of former Administrator Alex Mitham until Sean's arrival on 30th November.

Seated around the table, left to right, are Island Councillors:

On the right - Conrad Glass, Lorraine Repetto, Iris Green, Terence Green and Sarah Glass-Green.

Sean Burns served his first term as Administrator from 2010 to 2013, and returns after a posting to St Helena, where he was Acting Governor for several months. Sean and his wife Marina are welcome returnees to Tristan da Cunha, and Sean's knowledge of the island will be particularly useful as he oversees the present building of the new Camogli Healthcare Centre and more habour refurbishment work commencing early in 2017.

Sean was formally sworn in as Administrator on 1st December 2016 in the presence of Acting Administrator Ann Biddle, the day after arriving on MV Baltic Trader on 30th November.
