We regret to announce the death of Martha Frances Swain who passed away peacefully in her sleep on 11th
October 2014, aged 79. The funeral took place the following afternoon.
Martha was born on 14th December 1934 to parents Violet & William Lavarello and was one of four children. She married Jacob Swain and is survived by her son Neil, grandchildren Wayne and Glenda and great-grandchild Lucas.
Martha worked at the Fishing Factory as a processor for many years but retired to take care of her late husband Jacob. She was active most of her life and enjoyed the work at the Potato Patches. In fact she was planting potatoes at the Patches the afternoon before passing away.
Martha was a cheerful person and loved a joke. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
